Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rāji'ūn

Ayesha Begum

14 Rabi-ul-Awwal 1371 — 22 Dhul-Qa'dah 1446

On the first barsi of our beloved Ammi, we gather — in Qur'an, in dua, and in the soft remembrance of everything she gave us.

Her Life

A heart that prayed for everyone

Ammi was a teacher by profession and a mother to anyone who entered our home. She loved her white roses, her tahajjud, and feeding people until they could not refuse one more morsel.

She believed that a home is built with sabr, that grief is best shared over chai, and that no hardship is too heavy for a quiet dua at the last third of the night.
